A quick question.

Do we have to implement the javascript code for the Carousel from scrath or is it ok if we reuse existing javacsript libraries for carousels and make it greener??

You are free ! If you think that you can a solution off the shelf is green, you can take it and optimize it. If you think it's better from scratch, you also try this way !
